While we all wait for the Ram 1500 REV to arrive at dealers, I'm curious to know what everyone is currently driving in the meantime?

For me I'm driving a 2010 Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab that's served me dutifully over the years. But it's soon time to move on and I'm excited for what the REV offers.

Is anyone a current EV owner? Or a current Ram owner like myself?

We have a fun fleet...
  • 2012 Tesla Model S P85 - "Driver's edition" so no AP, no AWD, just thrust for days and excellent handling after a few minor changes
  • 2018 Dodge SRT Challenger Hellcat Widebody - Yin to the Tesla's yang...a BRRRRT away from being a road going A-10
  • 2018 BMW i3s ReX - Daily driver and a complete grin machine...if you're not smiling push it harder, it likes it!
  • 2016 Ram 1500 - Because something has to do the dirty work! But it's also our snowmobile.

I have bought 3 Dodge trucks brand new. A 1993 Dakota regular cab, short bed 2wd with the 5.2 Magnum. Then a 2000 Dodge Dakota RT regular cab in solar yellow which ended up being a one of 5 built in that color. Then a 2003 Quad cab Ram Sport 2wd with the 5.7 Hemi. So I'm kind of looking for a fast Ram.

Currently I have a great Sonata Hybrid that gets 50 mpg for any highway trips and a 2007 Jeep Wrangler for the mountains.

It is a good bet that the REV will be fairly quick, one of many advantages of an EV.

I have never owned a RAM, maybe the REV or the Evolution will be my first. I am not a fan of any particular vehicle manufacturer but push come to shove I would lean towards Toyota.

Toyota DOES know reliability, but their pure electric vehicles are WAY behind the curve right now. They seem to be focused now, but there's a lot of ground to make up.
I agree, they are well behind but if anyone can catch up it’s Toyota. It’s a mystery to me why they are dragging their feet on EVs. I am sure if they came out with a Tacoma EV it would be quite popular.
